Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

Confidential information between a therapist and client are protected by law. Yet, therapists are mandated reporters, some of the exceptions are listed below:

Exceptions include:

Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which it is required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.

If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, notifying the police and informing the intended victim is required.

If a client intends to harm himself or herself, every effort will be made to enlist their cooperation and ensure their safety.
